Connection points were detailed during the design and fabrication process so the structural framework, stringers and steel treads could be transported through the shopping centre before being accurately assembled within the restricted installation area.
The modular approach allowed the commercial steel staircase to be installed efficiently despite the significant access and logistical constraints of the site.
Coordinated Installation in a Live Retail Environment
Installation was carefully planned around the operation of the shopping centre, with work undertaken outside normal trading hours to minimise disruption to surrounding retail units.
The completed structure was wrapped with custom-engineered perforated steel panels, providing the required safety enclosure while maintaining the distinctive architectural appearance of the staircase.
